It turns out Minty is either A: Extremley allergic to the flower, or B: Years ago, her father traveled that same mountain and after he found the flower he planted it's seeds in the family garden, so Minty has tons of these flowers

Minty doesn’t actually care much for flowers at all. Plants are plants to her. But she’s mainly swooned for the idea of him going and doing something for her.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if her father had done something similar thing with her mother but brought seeds home so his wife could have them all the time.))
